The Mexican avant-garde multimedia project MAYAN WARRIOR, inspired by Mayan antiquity, has become one of the crown jewels of the Burning Man world, and the state-of-the-art synthesis model.
And now MAYAN WARRIOR goes to Moscow to bathe it with the absolute magic and connect the audience to something much valuable than the word "party" can contain. The MAYAN WARRIOR's music masterminds and maestros are preparing to take the fall for Moscow audience with all the magic of Burning Man.
Damian Romero and Rebolledo share the musical responsibility for MAYAN WARRIOR. Their genius synergy and a never-ending thirst for renewal and perfection are keeping up high levels of sensitivity while absorbing everything around his own environment from every possible angle. Romero's, Rebolledo's sets and sets of Mental, the merge of their both music worlds, are a standard for breaking the mold, going different places and shattering one’s own paradigms.
Mandrake, the other Mayan Warrior's hotshot music curator and captain of the legendary M.N.Roy Club in Mexico City will show his sounds which are Indi Dance, Techno, New Wave and the discoveries of the underground electronic scene of Latin America.
MAYAN WARRIOR Team
MAYAN WARRIOR is a mobile art installation that appeared in front of the public of BURNING MAN in 2012. This tech-stuffed car glowed in grace at the 'playa' and win the burners hearts first, and then leaked beyond it into the mouth of an admiring internet community. The Mayan Warrior made it clear to everyone he deals seriously with the question of art and intends to be a trendsetter. The lasers projected like rockets, showing majestic beauty over Nevada sky, and the exciting sound system rumbled. The music was so loud that Forbes magazine heard coins clinking there and deemed the Mayan Warrior deserved the immortalization on its pages.
And, however surprising it might appear, it was not the musician who gathered MAYAN WARRIOR team: the multi-media system on wheels was made by Mexican entrepreneur Pablo Gonzalez Vargas, the founder of Sr.Pago - the leading fin-tech services in Latin America. Pablo created MAYAN WARRIOR intending to popularize Mexico in the world and pay tribute to the honor of his native culture. The second example of the creative hobbies of Mr. Vargas became ILUMINA, the most euphoric and magical light installation of BURNING MAN 2017.
The massive face of the Warrior was hand-painted by the fabled psychedelic artist Alex Gray known for his experimental performances and sculptures. The shape of the art-car platform resembling an enormous snake based on the drawings of the Aztecs and Mayans, like Quetzalcoatl (feathered spirit).
In 2017 Festival the MAYAN WARRIOR team improved the laser technology by creating a unique hybrid of the Spectrum 30 Laser Projectors with a built-in Pangolin FB4 media server. These state-of-the-art laser show projectors built to work in even the harshest conditions. And the built-in media server assigned the team to pre-program the effects of the show to reproduce automatically without any PC or console needed to trigger the content during the performance.
Immersive journey through vibes of the spirit
Since its outset in 2012, the MAYAN WARRIOR annually has joined the temporary metropolis Black Rock City Nevada dedicated to art, self-expression, and self-confidence. The team won the thousands of fans hearts with its unique multi-media journey that touched the strings of all five senses, like the IMAX movie experience.
A giant Art Car with perhaps the loudest sound system on the playa was enrolling a massive following in its wake, lasers, and lights pulling back the stars and goading the followers into ecstatic movements as it rolled into the blackness of the deep playa. But in 2017 the team won itself again, raising the sound system one more step higher that cemented the MAYAN WARRIOR as the leading product among the significant electronic community.
