If someone told you they were taking you to cocktail bar that serves sushi you could be forgiven for being nervous. After all, who wants to spend their evening surrounded by yuppies on Nokias boasting about the size of their annual bonus? No need to worry however. Haifischbar is in the rough and ready district of Kreuzberg, where most upwardly mobile types fear to tread; and, although it has a trendy reputation, there is no swagger to this laidback watering hole. Simply sip on some of the best Mai Tais and Long Island Ice Teas in the city and nibble on fresh slabs of sushi, should you feel peckish. Happy hour is 2000 to 2100.

Was there in 1967, 68, and 69 when stationed in the Air Force at Templehof. One of my favorite local joints in Berlin, the other being The 50/50 Bier Bar.
The service was extremly unfriendly and ruined the whole night! Never again!
I was walking down the street when I noticed that place, it was just welcoming. So I went inside, tried 1 Long Island, had 3 more, and as a very very satisfied client I went home. Came back few times after that.
They don't serve sushi anymore, just tapas! But happy hour is still until 2100 ;)
