Berlin doesn't have to be the big-city experience, for it is surrounded by beautiful forests, lakes and countryside which just demand exploration.
Jetpak is an eco-friendly hostel that makes this easy, situated as it is in the heart of the forests to the west of the city.
This is the kind of location from which you can enjoy a range of outdoor activities, including bike hire, plus indoor games, movies and more for those all important moments of down time.
There's free wi-fi throughout, and breakfast is included in the price. If you do want to see the more hectic side of Berlin, there's a bus service that runs to the city centre too.
