It's actually a small but cozy place in Prenzlauer, run by the owner who keeps an eye on things and makes guests feel as though they were welcome in a private home, albeit a busy one.
Vannis Haus doesn't try to beat the rest of Berlin's hostels in the race to grab every tourist who comes into the city. It's simply a place to stay, and to which guests are generally happy to return and to recommend it to their friends.
