The Berlin International Film Festival, also known as the Berlinale, is one of the most prestigious festivals of its kind. This year the festival is presided by Isabella Rossellini and will see the screening of hundreds of films from across the world in cinemas throughout the city. The Coen Brothers' film True Grit will open the festival with a screening on 10 February. The Honorary Golden Bear for lifetime achievement will go to German actor Armin Mueller-Stahl.
