The Human Impacts Institute, the Federal Ministry for Environment, Nature Conservation, and Building and Nuclear Safety invite you to:

Human Impacts Berlin: Crossing the Transatlantic Climate Bridge Thursday, November 5th from 6:00-9:00 pm VIP networking reception at 6 pm Kalkscheune Johannisstraße 2, 10117 Berlin, Germany (Mitte)

Human Impacts Berlin is a one-night event, emphasizing local initiatives dealing with climate action in Berlin and beyond. This salon is the final installment of the Human Impacts Salon series, where HII traveled to 8 cities across the United States learning from and sharing resources on climate action. Human Impacts Berlin will highlight the work being done in both the U.S. and in Germany on climate in an inspirational atmosphere. We will examine how climate change is being addressed across sectors such as finance, design, communication, policy, and art. We will look to artists and communicators that are disseminating climate information in ways that speak personally to individuals by honing in on the psychology of decision-making and action. Our panelists will speak of their own expertise, ranging from climate justice to architecture to convey how climate change is an umbrella issue that must be taken on in a diverse and comprehensive way. To close the salon series, the Creative Climate Berlin shall summarize experience from the U.S. and link it with the German concepts to get to a common understanding of what needs to be done for climate action.

Invited panelists include: Carel Carlowitz Mohn, Klima Fakten Ursula Fuentes Hutfilter, German Federal Ministry for the Environment Emma Zinsmeister, US Environmental Protection Agency, Office of Air and Radiation Camilla Bausch, Ecologic Institute Malte Schneider, Climate-KIC Germany Antje von Broock, Bund für Umwelt und Naturschutz Deutschland (BUND) Friends of the Earth Germany Daniel Dendra, anOtherArchitect, Brigitte Knopf, Mercator Research Institute on Global Commons and Climate Change
