MarchMusic

The music festival MarchMusic, set at the "Haus der Berliner Festspiele" focuses on contemporary music. Its various events provide a panorama for modern music, including world premieres.

MarchMusic is organized by the Berliner Festspiele. It is a direct reaction to new relations between sound and society today. The festival for contemporary music tries to transcend the borders between tradition and innovation. A broad range of orchestral and chamber music, innovative musical theatre, experimental works and media art provide a rich panorama of contemporary music.

The programme of the festival is presented by established artists as well as young newcomers from all over the world. It includes world premières and new productions. Each year there are thematic focuses, and the festival concentrates on music from specific regions.
