3M to build factory in Wroclaw

Minnesota`s 3M Co. will build a liquid crystal display optical film manufacturing facility in Wroclaw, Poland, the company said Friday.

'We are building the plant in Wroclaw to be near our customers, such as L.G. Philips LCD, to better serve them and to better serve the largest LCD-TV market in the world,' said Andy Wong, division vice president of 3M.

In the last several years, 3M has built plants in Kansai, Japan; Suzhou, China; Tainan, Taiwan, and Hwaseong and Naju, Korea.
