I am trying to find a street known, during the German period after 1871, as 'Martzahn' (or similar). Can anybody identify the modern Polish equivalent for me? Many thanks Alan Judge

There are four gothic Cathedrals in Wroclaw: the Roman Catholic Cathedral of John The Baptist on Katedralna St., the Polish National Catholic Cathedral of St. Mary Magdalene on Szewska St., the Orthodox Cathedral of St. Anne and St. Barbara on Mikolaja St. and the Greek Catholic Cathedral of St. Jacob and St. Vincent on Pl. Nankiera. Apart from them there is a Classicist lutheran Cathedral of the Holy Providence on Kazimierza --- together there are five cathedrals in the city.

MPK (the city public transportation system) website has a city map with bus/tram routes with numbers, stops and schedules; takes a VERY long time to load (sometimes locks up)... could you add this feature to your site? or add a link to something similar?

Very useful map, thank you. Shanei, your generalisation of the English is totally unfounded. You don't have to be English to be a lager lout - you need only look closer to home! Actually maybe you should consider what the locals of Wroclaw will think of you when YOU'RE out having your drink.

Very useful map - most guides to Poland do not have much on Wroclaw so this is very welcome. I'll try not to behave like a monkey, or even be rude about complete nationalities.

Hi! I'm Irish so do not fall into the "English lager lout" category. That said I'm coming to Wroclaw for a few days next weekend and would like the name of somewhere to go that has a drink but that isn't full of English!

We don't want any English tourists in Wroc³aw. They behave like some stupid animals! Main reason why they visit poland is to dring good and cheap polish beer and behave like monkeys! Other tourists are very welcome in this beautiful, old city! There is a lot to see...(don't forget to find all gnomes in the downtown ;)) )

Thanks for your feedback Bev. Please find that we have now added both the Main Train Station and Wroclaw Copernicus Aiport onto the map. Click on services as before. You will then have to zoom out (find the zoom toolbar on the top left of the map) and you should be able to locate both (the airport a fair way to the west, the train station closer to the south). If you have any further questions or feedback, please contact us.

Am I missing something? Cannot locate either train stations nor airport even when clicking on '3 services' which just produces the tourist information office! How is that improved??

I was there! I was born in Breslau in 1927. At the time the Russion army surrounded Breslau, we were unable to escape to the West and therefore somehow we made it through all this turmoil. In October 1945 a very kind Polish schoolteacher told us gently to leave because Breslau was now Polish territory. Well, we accepted that and left via russian truck to what we thought Cottbus near Berlin. Make a long story short, my mother, sister and I never carried any grudge against the Polish people. We were so glad to finally have gotten rid of Hitler and the whole miserable gang of Nazis, that almost any sacrifice was worth it. When WW2 broke out, my mother cried and when I asked her why she replied that she was crying for all the mothers of every country that would lose their sons.

fantastic! Some of the best bars and clubs are difficult to find so it's good to get a headstart on them. Plus if you're planning to visit as a tourist to be able to see exaclty where your hotel is on a map is invaluable. I will recommending it to all my Wroclaw visitors
