Vilnius Book Fair invites into the first meeting with Lithuanian music Performances of recognized and young Lithuanian musicians, meetings with artists and authors, thousands of new and legendary records – all this wide spectrum of Lithuanian music will be presented at the “Music Hall” on February 19-22 in Vilnius, the 2nd hall of Lithuanian Exhibition and Congress Centre LITEXPO. The “Music Hall” will become the biggest news of the Vilnius Book Fair 2015. Lithuanian jazz, classic, folk, hip-hop, pop, rock, heavy metal, world music and singing poetry will be presented at the “Music Hall”. Well known Lithuanian musicians, such as Linas Adomaitis, Ieva Narkutė, Kęstutis Vaiginis and Dmitrij Golovanov, Ba., Saulius Petreikis, Gediminas and Ainis Storpirštis, bands “Biplan”, “G&G Sindikatas”, “Žalvarinis“ and others will present their new albums on the stage of the “Music Hall”. The “Music Hall” will be open longer than the Book Fair: on Friday and Saturday nights special projects of “LRT Opus Ore” participants and the winners of the “Golden Discs” will be featured on the stage. In the stands of “Music Hall” different music styles and artists will be presented – from Lithuanian jazz to classic, hip-hop and singing poetry. Lithuanian music legends, such as Algirdas Kaušpėdas, the leader of 30 years celebrating group “Antis”, “Dainos teatras”, actors of “Keistuolių teatras” theater and others will invite to the meetings. Besides to this, the music of 17th century of Lithuanian Grand Duchy will be presented. The music fans will be able to buy music production from Lithuanian, as well as from foreign publishers. Tickets to the local music events will be available too. Entrance to the “Music Hall” will be open with the Book Fair ticket. Advance tickets are available online at Bilietai.lt and outlets – 3–10 euros; during the fair at the exhibition box-office – 4.5-10 euros. The project is supported by Association AGATA, a non-profit organization that brings together performers (musicians, actors), music publishers and protects their rights in Lithuania.
