Located right on the Neris river, this small cinema has been making a name for itself through its increasing efforts to be an independent movie house screening independent films. Here you'll see an eclectic mix of old, under-appreciated classics and the latest international offbeat art-house offerings. And it's a great bargain at 10 litas (6 if you can convince them you're still a starving student!).

A message from SKALVIJA Cinema Centre
SKALVIJA Cinema Center is a small (1 screen and 88 seats) art-house cinema situated in central Vilnius. Small but cozy, it is well known amongst film lovers for its distinctive repertoire. The programming focuses on non-commercial European and World cinema, both classics and recent film. SKALVIJA is the major venue for cinematic events – festivals, meetings with filmmakers, retrospectives, special screenings. Distribution of European film is another important activity at SKALVIJA.SKALVIJA yearly meets over 58 000 spectators and organises more than 1200 screenings.
The cinema is a member of two networks – Europa Cinemas and CICEA.
