German Comics

Superman, Wonder Woman, Batman, Mickey Mouse, Donald Duck – almost every child recognizes these characters. But most people regard comics as kid stuff, and have no idea that a whole assortment of comics for adults has sprung up in Germany. The Goethe-Institute has organized an exhibit of both books about comics in Germany, and the comics themselves, with the goal of raising serious critical interest in the medium.
