The Zamek Cultural Centre, together with the pf Photography Gallery located in the centre, are bringing a bit of Prague to Poznan. Several works of Alfons Mucha, the famous Czech painter who was the defining artist of the Art Nouveau movement in France, will be shown at the cultural centre, including works from the artist's family, the largest and most representative collection of Mucha's works in the world. Most importantly for Mucha fans will be the works from his Parisian era, which brought the artist worldly fame. In the "pf" Photography Gallery, located in the same building, one will able to view photographs by Mucha, developed by the artist and chronicling his travels and his family and friends, as well as his workshop. This unique exhibition is organized by the Amos Anderson Art Museum in Helsinki in cooperation with the Mucha Foundation. The exhibition will be shown daily except for Mondays from 11 am until 7 pm, from the 20th of August until the 11th of November.
