Despite initial organization problems, this year's seventh edition of Poznan Ice Sculpture Festival, the biggest ice sculpting event in Europe will again attract the best of the best ice artists of the world. Their works will be exhibited in Poznan Market Square this weekend, Dec. 8-9.

During ISF sculptors work in the open air, and the spectators are able to see how several tons of ice are turned into frosty works of art. The festival will be hosted by representatives of Poland, France, Bulgaria, Holland, USA, Canada, Russia and even Philippines, who will compete in two categories: Speed Ice Carving, where artists copy a template ice sculpture in a given time, and the Main Contest, where several-meter high constructions reflect the artists' inspiration, mainly related to Christmas.

All contest sculptures will then be exhibited at the Main Suare.
