Described by Polish critics as ‘a painter with a capital P’, Okińczyc is said to be an artist who has achieve true authenticity through transposing careful observation into near-abstraction and thereby creating a dialogue with his subjects. More than 50 works at the museum draw back the veil between the real and the imaginary, offering a tantalising glimpse of a world we all thought we knew, but from a new perspective.
