Prehistory in Wielkopolska

Shifting boundaries, micro-nations, the rise and fall of great powers – these have always been the hallmarks of Europe, and of the territory now called Poland. But what of daily life from the Stone Age to the end of antiquity? This exhibition attempts to throw some light on this time in Wielkopolska. Using artifacts retrieved and painstakingly interpreted by archaeologists, it illustrates aspects of life such as war and peace, farming, hunting, tool making, trade and more.
