Take a short trip out of Poznań centre, just 20km to the south of the city, to find the village of Rogalin and the famous palace of the Raczyński family. The building itself is worth the journey for its lavish attention to detail and the careful restoration work that has been undertaken there. But also take the time to visit the gallery next door, where Polish and international artists are represented including Matejko and Monet.
