A relatively new addition to Poznans cultural calendar, Transatlantyk is an International Film and Music Festival. This unique event is directed by Oscar-winning Polish film composer Jan A.P. Kaczmarek, with the aim of promoting the art of composition for cinema. The festival will see several series of film screenings on topics such as Culinary Cinema and Wall Street Story. The highlight of the festival is a competition for film composers, with a chance to win a prize of 20 000 US dollars.
