Less than 10 years old, Merrick Park is the premier shopping haven in Coral Gables. Technically it is a mall, but it's easy to mistake the breathtaking property for an upscale resort. Expect top-notch shopping: Gucci, Burberry, Jimmy Choo, to name a few. However, there are also a few affordable options for those with less deep pockets. Festivals and concerts are organized in the large central area from time to time, and often coincide with holidays, which sometimes yields sale prices. The Village is a lovely space to stroll, and usually isn't overwhelmingly packed, so it is a place everyone can enjoy.
