The 57th National Exhibition of Racing Pigeons, The International Fair of Racing Pigeons and Accessories

Yes, you read correctly – this is about an exhibit of pigeons; racing and carrier pigeons to be exact, but pigeons nonetheless. Why, you ask? Because Polish people love their pigeons (if you’ve ever been to the main square in Krakow you already know this), and even though the Katowice disaster of the previous year (when the roof collapsed on a pigeon trade fair) might be seen as a sign from God against the flying rodents and their fans, the fair will go on. On the programme of the fair is the 2007 Ostend (Belgium) Racing Pigeon Olympics Qualifiers, the presentation of the 2006 Olympic Champions, as well as various veterinary seminars and presentations by pigeon breeders, and a chance to purchase all kinds of pigeon-keeping accessories.
