This year Eindhoven's own ballooning festival takes place from Thursday July 14th till Sunday July 17th. Everyday between 8 and 9.30 pm several hot air balloons depart from the 'Karpendonkse Plas', an area next to the big lake close to the city centre. The festival starts every afternoon (Thursday at 6pm, Friday at 5pm, Saturday and Sunday at 3pm) with a market and mini fun fair and music.

On Saturday the spectacular 'Nightglow' takes place at 11pm, where six balloons are glowing in the dark. If you'ld like to board a balloon yourself, there are still some places, so be quick to experience this unique way of travelling. Costs of a flight are around 130. Entrance to the festival area is free.
