Mosaico Ensemble (ISR)

Mosaico Ensemble draws inspiration from a diverse range of musical styles in order to create a new sound that is uplifting and unique to its four members.

First founded by childhood friends Liav Baruch (Oud & hang) and Shimri Achiam (percussions & drums), who had been playing and performing together since their early teens. The two were joined by Dror Tubul (double-bass) when he was introduced to Liav as a fellow student at the Jerusalem Academy of Music. The lineup was cemented when virtuoso Orel Oshrat (piano) joined in late 2017.

Developing a close friendship off of the stage their natural bond is immediately noticeable in their live performances with each member bringing a considerate and disciplined approach to the stage, each show becomes a special experience. Following the physical release of their 11-track debut album “Loess”, produced by the jazz pianist Nitai Hershkowitz, the band played a growing amount of reputable shows in their native Israel and interest in the ensemble is steadily growing. With two European tours already under their belt, Mosaico Ensemble is preparing to release their newest single before returning to the continent yet again. 2019 will also see them head to the studio to record their follow-up LP.
