Bucharest International Film Festival

Mon 15th

In April, Bucharest will be the capital of art house cinema for one week.

Cinephiles can have a look at the newest output of young national and international film makers and place a bet on who will win the festival trophy for best film this year. Last year, the jury, lead by Stanley Kubrick's longtime producer Jan Harlan, appointed British drama "Tyrannosaur“ their favourite. Alongside, the festival's organizers had a good nose for innovative, but also accessible cinema featuring independent hits like Richard Ayoade's debut "Submarine" and the controversial "Shame". So, it's quite safe to say that they will have something interesting in store for this year's edition, too.
