Thick-cut chips served with lashing of mayo is the most ubiquitous street foods in Amsterdam, despite its usual connotations with Belgium. However, Manneken Pis is called Vlaamse Frites for a reason - these are authentic Flemish fries, and absolute street food perfection. Its no wonder Manneken Pis is voted to the top of annual polls searching for the perfect frites in Amsterdam. Fresh cut and not too greasy, these crispy chips are piled high in paper cones and served with a little wooden fork. Choose from toppings like the traditional mayonnaise, or try a local favourite, Indonesian influenced peanut Satay sauce.
