If a James Bond film were ever to be shot in Zimbabwe, there's a good chance Leopard Rock would feature rather prominently. It's breathtaking location in Zimbabwe's lush Vumba Forests, chateau-like charm, and world-class 18 hole championship golf course provide the perfect setting for all sorts of shenanigans. And after dark, with its full size snooker table and casino, there's a chance for Bond to slip into his tuxedo and doubtless charm all around him. No surprise then that Leopard Rock attracts a multitude of visitors from both Zimbabwe and around the world to this little corner of paradise. The accommodation itself is pleasant, and despite first appearances, the hotel itself is rather relaxed, not stiff or formal in any manner. The Golf course itself is a marvel, every hole providing both a challenge to seasoned golfers, and at least an endless progression of marvellous views for those who might spend more time looking for their golf balls than striking them. A truly great place to stay.

For my money - the most beautiful golf course in the world.

I have been lucky enough to have stayed here more than once, and always recommend it to anyone visiting Zimbabwe. There's something about the beautiful drive up through the mountains and the arrival here which is always special. As if Leopard Rock itself is cut off in time (as well as space) from the rest of the world. Be prepared to be charmed.
