Nikifor Arrives in Zakopane

Nikifor (1895-1968) a pauper resident in Krynica is numbered among the greatest contemporary naive artists in the world. In his watercolours, gouaches, sketches and drawings he depicted landscapes of the Lemkowszczyzna area, compositions of religious character, as well as self-portraits, sold by Nikifor to Krynica guests as souvenirs.
