Editor's review

One of London’s smaller airports, Luton focuses on European flights from budget airlines like Ryanair and EasyJet, as well as charter flights from companies like Thomson Airways. Luton is a single runway and single terminal airport, so it’s relatively quick and easy to make your way around. Situated roughly 50 km north of central London, the airport is relatively well connected to the city. Grabbing a coach or minibus is the cheapest option, but the trains from King’s Cross St Pancras or London Bridge are the quickest and most pain-free. Taxis are best avoided if you’re heading from the city centre " not only will you need to deal with traffic, but the price could easily shoot as high as 100 pounds for a single trip.
