The Solidarnosc Marathon is an event to commemorate the events of August 1980, in which the Solidarity trade union started the dominoes that would eventually topple communism in Poland. The marathon features a 42-kilometre race from the Fallen Shipyard Workers Monument in Gdansk to the Victims of December 1970 Monument in Gdynia.
