Baltic - Unique Dog's Story for Kids in Miniatura Theater

A story of a dog drifting on an ice floe and rescued by sailors has a time ago been broadcast in mass media all over the world. Baltic, as the dog has been named by its rescuers, got caught mid-current on ice and sailed many miles down Wisla river. He was saved by the crew of R/V "Baltica" on Gdansk Bay waters. The dog got so attached to one of the sailors, Adam Buczyński, that he was adopted and is now an official crew member of the ship.
This moving story has been made into a book by Barbara Gawryluk, and now it's being presented as a theater show for children. According to the director, Romuald Wicza-Pokojski, Baltic's story is to be a Gdansk version of the Christmas Story, fulfilling the everlasting need of positive heroes and everyday miracles, focusing on goodness, tenderness and care for those who are dependent on us.
