The Best of PRL Design in Gdynia

Experimental furniture, abstract imprints and objects made of atypical materials are presented in the City Museum of Gdynia at the exhibition "We Want to be Modern. Polish Design 1955-1968 from the Collection of the National Museum in Warsaw".

Previously exhibited in Warsaw, the show turned out most popular and has been visited by over 35,000 guests. It presents one of the most interesting periods in Polish industrial and interior design, as well as applied art. Not only models and prototypes, but also industrial realizations of ca. 180 objects will be presented to demonstrate the so called organic form style, a breath from the socialist realism art, imposed on Polish artists at the end of 1940's.
