Gdansk Cinemas

For those of you who don't like to stroll the beautiful Baltic beaches, Gdansk and the Tri-City in general offer plenty to do. Maybe you're just not the outdoor type, maybe the outdoors aren't really cooperating today, maybe you just want to see a movie!

Gdansk, like all of Poland, certainly has a love for cinema. In the country which produced such geniuses as Kieslowski, Wajda and Polanski you'll be hard-pressed to find someone who doesn't have a well developed taste for the silver screen.

Most refreshing, perhaps, is the Poles' willingness to try various forms of cinema. Here you'll find that the number of people who have seen the latest Hollywood blockbuster is not necessarily larger than the amount of those who can boast seeing the most independent of independent films. The cinemas themselves reflect this fact: you'll find the giant movieplexes as well as a host of tiny, hole-in-the-wall joints screening films you've never even heard of. Be sure to try both!

We'll help you in your conquest of the cinemas of Gdansk. Try visiting our play section where you can search for individual cinemas, read public reviews and write your own opinions.

Enjoy the movie!

Poland has an amazing heritage in World cinema. It is something you should be very proud of.
