Miss Highlander 2008

The highlanders are proud of many things - their fine mountains, their curious clothing and not least their capacity to consume heinous quantities of alcohol. They're also proud of their spirited ladyfolk, and this summer, as always, the fairest of them all will be crowned "Miss Podhala." It's not just about a pretty face though. Indeed, matchstick figures are considered rather suspect in this neck of the woods. Contestants have to be hearty, full of fun and generally good Highland eggs. The event will be accompanied by open-air concerts.
