"The Knight of Olmedo" is a very unusual, mysterious, and psychologically intriguing drama by a Spanish Renaissance playwright, Lope de Vega. Belonging to Comedia de Santos genre, and demonstrating the Theatrum Mundi topos, the play tells an exciting story of St. Genesius, an actor who converted to Christianity while playing a role in a show pointed at mocking Christians. The old masterpiece is now a remake of a mystery, where the artists crosses over human condition via art.
