Rolling on through August and into September, the Tatra Wici is a celebration of the cultural and everyday life of the mountain folk of this region of Poland.

This month, highlights include the national dog show (Koscielisko, August 5), the European Regional Products Fair (August 9-16, Zakopane), the Feast of the Forest (August 15, Siwa Polana), and the day of honey, bees and bears (Poronin, August 19). It all draws to a close in September, as the Highlanders say goodbye summer.
