Czlapowki Zakopane

Andrzej Strug's Czlapowki Zakopane is the final performance of the Witkacy season, before the theatre closes for the summer.

The play is both cynical and grotesque at once, shot through with a black humour as it explores the strained public face of Zakopane between the wars.

A sharply observed piece of social commentary, this is a show that says as much about how we want others to see us, as it does about how we really are.
