Easter seems like a long time ago, but it is intimately connected with the feast of Corpus Christi, celebrated with solemnity in towns throughout Poland.

There will be special services in Zakopane's churches to mark the date, so it's a good opportunity to get a glimpse of religious feeling at its most devout in this traditional Catholic country.

Don't forget that it's a public holiday, so stock up on essentials the day before as many shops will be closed.
