Although the nearest place to Zakopane where any major football festival is planned is Krakow, it's unlikely that you'll be able to escape the hype, even if you're tucked away in the mountains.
This is because Poland is, with Ukraine, hosting the tournament, and even those normally turned cold at the thought of 11 men running around in shorts will doubtless be daubing their faces with red a white and yelling 'Do boju Polsko!' at random moments. Best just to accept and enjoy.
