Sołtys Croft

Named after the family which built and owned it for many years since 1861, Sołtys Croft was taken over by the Tatra Museum in the 1980s, and now houses a permanent exhibition about the lives of ordinary mountain folk at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. What is most striking is that the Croft itself has just one main room, in which all of the work, domestic, relaxation and family activities took place. Inside, there is a fine exhibition of traditional Jurgów clothing - which is still worn on high days and holidays by some of the folk living nearby today.
