Elsewhere, polo is a sport played on grass, or in the water. Here in Zakopane it's all about the snow as the BMW Snow Polo competition begins.

The first day will feature warm-ups, followed on the Friday by qualifying rounds. Semi-final matches will take place on Saturday, and the event comes to a head on Sunday with the finals, award-ceremony and parade at ul. Krupówki.
