Today sees the delightful tradition of 'Swiecone' (literally 'Blessed'). Families in their Sunday best bring little baskets of victuals to church to be blessed by priests. The custom has remained unchanged since time immemorial. The typical basket includes eggs, cake, salt, sausage and bread, also painted eggs and a small model of a lamb to symbolise innocence.
