EXHIBITION: INFINITY, BEYOND DREAMS - THE SOURCE OF MOUNTAIN PHOTOGRAPHY

Sat 1st
Aug

This diminutive show is being hosted in the charming Villa Koliba, seat of the Museum of the Zakopane Style. The museum is well worth a trip for the permanent collection alone, which is laid out like a classic villa of the turn of the century intelligentsia, with personal effects from the legendary Witkiewicz family. This month you can also enjoy a collection of 22 photographs which are on loan from the Museo Nazionale della Montagna in Turin. The images take us back to the very dawn of mountain photography. Visitors can savour pictures by pioneers of the genre, such as the legendary Bisson brothers, who are famed in Poland for photographing national icon Fryderyk Chopin.
