Ampstrong's Autobass Parties

It's never a good idea to stay in the city for weeks on end - before you know it you'll have turned into a crazed maniac who talks to traffic lights. But don't worry - Ampstrong Club is coming to the rescue.

Every Saturday this Summer Ampstrong will be driving hedonists down to the Highlands for some weekend revelry. Clubbers can hop on the Autobass bus at Cracow's Hotel Wyspianski (7pm, ul. Westerplatte 15) so prepare for a whip-crackingly wild weekend. Of course, this being Ampstrong, you can trust that your transport to the party will be a tad different to your run-of-the-mill automobile. Not only is the bus-ride to the club free of charge, you'll have DJ's spinning live on the bus. Those doing the honours include Nitrogen Tri Hydride, Abuse and Masala Soundsystem, which certainly beats the usual 80's ballads that you hear on buses to Zakopane (although how you mix whilst negotiating a bend in the mountains beats us!). Cracow clubbers waiting at the Hotel Wyspianski will spot their transport immediately as there's a groovy red monster painted on the side - a cross between a Transformer and King Kong.

Above: The Auto Bass Monster Bus. Catch it at Cracow's Hotel Wyspianski, Saturdays at 7pm.

Once you get to Zakopane, entrance to the club is also free, so promise to buy at least one orange juice otherwise they're bound to go bankrupt. The party lasts till five in the morning and there are afterparties planned at open air venues in the Highlands. Meanwhile, the Autobass parties themselves will have the following flavours:

Saturday 7th July: DRUM N BASS

Saturday 14th July: HIP-HOP, FUNK

Saturday 21st July: DRUM N BASS

Saturday 28th July: PSYCHEDELIC & GOA TRANCE

Saturday 4th August: DRUM N BASS

Saturday 11th August: HOUSE

Saturday 18th August: DRUM N BASS

Saturday 25th August: ELECTRO, MINIMAL, BREAKBEAT

Saturday 1st September: REGGAE, DANCEHALL, ROOTS

Saturday 8th September: (NO AUTOBASS PARTY TONIGHT!)

Saturday 15th September: HOUSE, BREAKBEAT

Return to Cracow

: As we mentioned the Autobass parties stop at 5am. Afterwards you might want to unwind in the countryside for a while. But if you're eager to get back to Krak, national buses start at 5am and continue regularly throughout the day. The Bus Station is 200 metres from Ampstrong Club, and a single to Cracow costs 7 zl. And remember, go easy on the magic mushrooms...

Is a shame that I will only be arriving in Krakow on 20 September. I was thinking of partying 3 nights in a row and this bus party seems interesting. Do you think you still have this after 15 September? ;)
