For those who long to be close to the water but don’t have the resources to get out of the city, look no further than Siam Ocean World. In the center of the city, this aquarium is a great place to get reprieve from the heat and still enjoy nature. Daily shows feature feedings of various wildlife: sharks, otters, and penguins, to name a few. But a real thrill, particularly for divers, is the opportunity get in the tank with the sea creatures. Check the website for information and to purchase tickets online. Regular adult tickets are 900 THB (about 28 USD).
