Portrait Gallery Of The XIX Century

The exhibition presents a range of portraits from throughout the 19th century showing stylistic features of painting and the aesthetic taste of the period. The exposition shows leading Russian families and merchants in both formal and casual settings enabling the visitor to see both the development of art and fashion throughout the century as well as the development in painting.
