Actually, the Euro is not that widely accepted. Most pubs and cafes will not take euros in cash unless you have nothing else. Hotels, of course, will acccept them, but give you a lousy rate unless they quote in them. My recommendation - take your cash machine / ATM card and get your Polish zloty that way. DON'T change your cash at the airports - the rates are far poorer than using a simple cash machine.... good luck!
