What I have found in exploring Wroclaw is that many of the best pubs are really tucked away - in alleys, down stairs, through courtyards etc... and not many of them have prominent signs...! so my advice would be to be adventurous when walking around exploring for pubs/restaurants (off the beaten path so to speak!)... if you hear music coming from down an alleyway - go check it out - you'll probably walk into one the the most interesting pubs you've ever been to! Start from Rynek Square and branch off to the smaller streets towards the University. It really depends on what you're looking for though. If you're interested in live music - look around at the posters all over town and you're bound to see many gigs advertised for pretty much all types of music. Get a good map and enjoy the adventure of trying to find the locations! ;) I have found when I've thought there's no way that this club is down these stairs, through this gate etc... that's usually where I am supposed to go!
