11th Krakow Summer Animation Days

From the 25-28 of July 2019, Krakow's Mały Rynek will be lit up by one of the best-animated cinema festivals in the world and the only outdoor animated film fest in Poland! The smell of popcorn will be in the air all day and night as tourists and locals gather together in the chairs of this open-to-the-public pop-up outdoor movie theatre.

Across four delightful evenings and amongst the breathtaking architecture of Krakow's ancient Old Town, a selection of incredible animated films, hailing from all over the world, will be presented for your pleasure, right under the starry night sky.

The playlist will include both short and full-length animations with origins are so diverse that this film festival becomes rather a global adventure across Canada, Korea, Qatar, Germany, Argentina, France, Denmark, the Netherlands, the USA, Russia, Slovenia, Estonia, Switzerland and, of course, Poland. We will show short films recently awarded and honoured in animation festivals such as Dutch KLIK, Danish VOID Film Festival, Polish - IFF Etiuda & Anima and Animator, Austrian - Tricky Woman and Ars Electronica. A special and important moment for The 11th Krakow Summer Animation Days will be the presentation of winners in the field of animation for the Emile Awards 2018 - European Animation Awards. Although this festival is absolutely designed to satisfy at people of ages and rather to dispel the association with animation as just a silly kids thing - throughout the duration of the Krakow Summer Animation Days, your offspring can take part in fantastic workshops :)
