Shabbat Shalom&Shavua Tov! Jewish culture evening

There will be a unique meeting with Jewish culture!

Have you ever wondered how the Jews pray? Or why every devout Jew walks with his head covered and lights candles on Friday evening? Or maybe one day you really wanted to enter the synagogue and ask yourself if someone who is not a Jew can do it?

To answer these and many other questions, we invite you to an evening with Jewish culture.

During the meeting, we’ll make our own kips and hams, try maca and spin it with a dreidel. We will find out what is called a prayer shawl and what is tefillin. We will wonder if anyone can be a rabbi? We will learn to count in Hebrew and we will see that the alphabet doesn’t look the same to everyone.

Spend an evening with us, the Middle Eastern and klezmer rhythms, we will set out on a journey through the world of tradition and Jewish customs!

Tutor: Justyna Arabska – culture expert, theatrologist, graduate of the Faculty of Polish Studies at the Jagiellonian University, participant of the Polish-Israeli Youth Exchange (PIYE), the educator at the Mifgash Foundation. In her doctoral thesis, she deals with Jewish theatre.
