Max Klezmer Band - The Best Of - 20 years on the world stage

A well-known Krakow band playing world music - fusion, ethno, jazz - will celebrate 20 years on the world stage!

The MKB team was founded in 1998 by double bassist Max Kowalski. From the beginning of his activity, he experimented with klezmer and jazz music. In the new international band composition, the artists move the musical boundaries deriving from hypnotic Sephardic melodies, crazy klezmer dances, Arabic, Balkan and Indian sounds as well as strong elements of jazz, rock and improvisation.

The MKB group performs in Poland and abroad (Great Britain, France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Sweden, Hungary, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Belarus, Latvia, Luxemburg, Jamaica, Benin - Africa). The band has recorded several albums, such as Katarzyna Gaertner "Czar Korzeni", Aida & MKB, Aida "Nagie Myśl", Andre Ochodlo & MKB and the author "Nu Klezmer Project" (2003), "Tsunami" (2007) and the latest album "Hush Hush" (2011) with a special participation of Maciej Maleńczuk.
