FIFIDROKI

Alternative, folk. punk and people. Positivity because energy counts. Electric and electronic ones. Fifidrok's music has its source in Silesian chimneys, Beskidy fields, Ukrainian villages, Jewish kibbutzos and forbidden districts of Silesian towns. Their music is as aggressive and dirty as the ballad and fairytale. Stand in the market in Katowice, Bielsko or Sosnowiec and look ahead. Here is the fifth-time heimat. Everything is ours. Microcosm. Mikroohomeland. There is no musical genre that clearly describes the music of the Fifidrok, just as there is no Fifidrok song that falls within a given genre. There are, however, listeners who dont consider category and who appreciate the content of music in music. Fifidroki is playing for them.

Kirszenbaum
Kirszenbaum is like Wyspiański on methodrone. The Krakow duo enlivens the post-lamish ruins, sets them fresh directions and throws them on the loops, with the Slavic stabbing colliding with Tom Waits and Junip. Zola screams at klezmer, Henry Miller dances with Mumins, and the result is a melancholy intertextual carousel. Kierkegaard wrote about them: "It's probably jazz." Nothing more wrong.
